京都に住み3年になります。内向的な性格で、社交生活での交流もほとんどな無く、孤独な思いで京都を見ました。 日本の色、京都の匂い、行き来する人々は面白い話をしています。たくさんの色を用い、注意深い観察をして京都での些細な、しかし異文化間の衝撃を描写しています。

【プロフィール】
ジャッキー‧トンは香港出身。京都在住。アートディレクターでもありイラストレーターとして活躍。2005年、香港理工大学で視覚コミュニケーションを学んだ後、イギリスのキングストン大学で修士号を取得した。 幾つもの広告代理店で得た豊富なデザイン経験は、アイディアやコンセプトを視覚的に表現する際の創造性を強いものにしている。ロンドン デザイン フェスティバルに出展した作品「What We Deserve（私たちに値するもの）」は不当で残酷な動物への扱いをテーマにし、中でも重要な作品と言える。 2015年に人間と動物の関係をテーマにした挿絵本を出版「人間等活」。 2019年、東京のSHIBAURA HOUSEで「箱舟の部屋」個展を開催。この一連のイラストのコンセプトは、箱舟から取られたもので、これらの動物を可能な限り保護することを目的としています。 人間と一緒に暮らす。 理想的な世界では、人と動物が愛を分かち合い、新鮮な空気と暖かい日差しを一緒に楽しむことができるはずです。
その他、第2回グレイターチャイナ イラストレーション アワードではベスト イラストレーション賞を授与されている。香港ヤングデザイン アワード 2016で クリエートスマート賞。2015年に若手作家賞を受賞。HKDA グローバルデザイン賞2016 ではイラスト優秀賞を授与されている。
Jacky Tong, born in Hong Kong, currently based in Kyoto. He is a passionate Art Director and Illustrator who graduated from Visual communication at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2005, and later with a MA degree in illustration at Kingston University, London UK. His extensive design experience from different advertising agencies has helped leveraged his creative approach to bringing ideas and concepts to life visually. One of his most significant works "What We Deserve" manifesting the unfair treatments and cruelty to animals was exhibited at London Design Festival in 2011. Published an illustrated book on the theme of the relationship between humans and animals in Fall 2015 (人間等活). In 2019, he holding “A room in the Ark” (箱舟の部屋) exhibition at SHIBAURA HOUSE in Tokyo.The concept of this series of illustrations is taken from The Ark, in an ideal world people and animals should be able to share the love and enjoy fresh air and warm sunshine together.
