Grown at a high altitude of 1,983 meters in fertile red-brown soil, this coffee is the culmination of dedication from local farmers cultivating JARC varieties. The farm along the Gutiti River, with small coffee trees nestled among avocado, papaya, and Ethiopian banana plants, reflects the 'family crop' lovingly grown in the family’s garden.
Every step of production reflects the commitment to quality. The farmers handpick only fully ripened cherries and carefully manage the harvest. This coffee undergoes a unique anaerobic process, with fully ripened red cherries fermented for 36 hours. It is then slowly dried over 25 days in the sun and shade on African beds, extracting a delicate flavor profile.
The cupping notes of Gargari Gutity feature a perfect harmony of winey and tropical fruit flavors, offering the full enjoyment of Ethiopian terroir. What makes this coffee truly special is not only its incredible taste, but also the ethical practices employed at the Gargari Gutiti washing station.
